Lenovo Selects Skyworks' GSM/GPRS Cellular System Solution; Extending Consumer Electronics Leadership into Feature-Packed Mobile PhonesWOBURN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 25, 2004--Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:SWKS), the industry's leading wireless semiconductor company focused on radio frequency (RF) and complete cellular system solutions for mobile communications applications, today announced that Lenovo Mobile, a subsidiary of Lenovo Group (Legend Group Limited - SEHK:992; ADR stock code:LGHLY) has selected the company's highly integrated GSM/GPRS cellular system solution for use in several mobile handset models, including its popular G811 phone.

Lenovo Mobile is using Skyworks' complete cellular system solution to speed development of several handset models while accelerating volume ramp of its dual-band G811 GSM/GPRS platforms. Lenovo's G811 phone offers consumers a wide variety of capabilities that are enabled by Skyworks' system solution platform, including GPRS data support, Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Web-browsing, enhanced messaging service (EMS), predictive text input, 40-bit polyphonic ring tone melodies, and exciting downloadable games. Several other of Lenovo's next generation handsets will also be based on Skyworks' comprehensive solution, reducing development costs and time-to-market, as it includes all of the required semiconductor content and associated software necessary to build a complete wireless terminal with improved performance and advanced multimedia features.
