Skyworks Introduces Lead (Pb)-Free Packaging For Discrete Semiconductor Devices
Skyworks Lead (Pb)-Free SC-79 packaging meets the stringent requirements of the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) standards, which require the elimination of lead-bearing solders by 2008. Additionally, the devices have been tested to JEDEC J-STD-02B moisture sensitivity levels (MSL) for lead-free products.
Skyworks' SC-79 Lead (Pb)-Free diodes are available now and are priced at less than $.05 in quantities of one million (see list below for part numbers).
