WOBURN, Mass., Nov 17, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq:SWKS), the industry's leading wireless semiconductor company focused on radio frequency (RF) and complete cellular system solutions for mobile communications applications, today announced that it has received the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 certification across all of the company's major design, development and manufacturing sites from Det Norske Veritas (DNV), an independent foundation that offers ISO certification worldwide.

"Skyworks' certification to the ISO 9001:2000 standard provides independent validation of our company-wide quality systems that are designed to meet our customers' stringent requirements," said Nien-Tsu Shen, vice president of quality at Skyworks. "Skyworks is committed to continuously improving customer satisfaction levels, and these robust systems have enabled us to receive several quality awards from major global customers."

The facilities recognized by ISO include Skyworks' best-in-class aluminum gallium arsenide (AlGaAs) and indium gallium phosphate (InGaP) heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) wafer fabrication plant in Newbury Park, Calif. where the company manufactures its leadership power amplifier modules; the pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (PHEMT), metal semiconductor field effect transistor (MESFET) and silicon wafer fabrication plant in Woburn, which is responsible for manufacturing the company's industry-leading switch and control products; and the world-class assembly and test facility in Mexicali, Mexico.

ISO is the world's largest developer of standards.
